Privacy policy
In short: the site has no forms, does not measure traffic and shows no advertising. The little data that reaches us is described below.
Who we are
This site is run by JOY Coffee, Bulevardul Alexandru Ioan Cuza, Slatina. You can write to us at JOY@joy-coffee.ro or call 0756 460 758.
What data we process, and why
The site has no forms, no user accounts and no traffic analytics. We process personal data in three situations, each limited to the strictly necessary:
- Server logs. Like any web server, the one hosting the site records the IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are deleted automatically after a short time.
- The Google map. On the contact page, the map loads only after you press “Load the map”. Only then does your browser connect to Google, which receives your IP address and may set cookies of its own. The legal basis is your consent, given by pressing the button. How Google handles data: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Correspondence. If you write to us or call us, we use the details you give us only to reply, and keep them for as long as that takes. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or the steps leading up to an order (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Your language preference is kept in a single cookie, described in the Cookie policy.
What we do not do
We do not use Google Analytics or any other measurement tool, show no advertising, build no profiles, and neither sell nor rent data. The links to Facebook, Instagram, Tripadvisor and Restaurant Guru are plain links: we load no scripts from those platforms, and they do not learn you visited our site unless you open them.
Transfers outside the European Union
The one exception is Google, if you choose to load the map. The transfer relies on the safeguards the GDPR provides for international transfers, which Google sets out in its policy.
Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and portability, under the conditions set by the GDPR. Write to us at JOY@joy-coffee.ro. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can turn to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP): dataprotection.ro.
Changes
This policy was last updated in September 2026. We change it when the site changes; the version in force is always the one on this page.
